Cushions are filled with kapok, a natural fibre. All covers are 100% cotton, removable and zipped.
Quilts and Bolsters - 100% cotton, Dacron filled.
Our quilts and cushions are made from old sarongs originating in Java. The fabric designs and colours were specific to families or districts within tiny communities and date back to the 1960's. The fabrics were produced using vegetable dyes and then sewn together in a patchwork design. We personally source our fabrics and then our manufacturer makes up the cushions and quilts to our designs.
Due to the age and history of the material there may be the occasional small whole or mark on the fabric. Please treat your piece of history with respect and care, do not machine wash - hand wash carefully as required.
All our cushions are filled with kapok which is a natural fibre growing on trees in tropical areas. This fibre is environmentally sustainable and natural.
